Biography
Cláudia Gonçalves Barroso works in the field of digital transformation of the public sector for over a decade.
She is currently Advisor to the Board of Directors of the Administrative Modernization Agency (AMA) of Portugal and previously led the International Affairs Unit of the agency for 7 years. During these, she worked daily with the EU, OECD, Digital Nations, Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), International Financial Institutions (IFIs), among other international organizations, to promote innovation and cooperation on areas such as digital strategy, digital identity, interoperability, AI, open data, UX, cocreation and other digital government-related areas.
Cláudia started her career in the ICT private sector, collaborating directly or providing communication and marketing consulting services to companies such as IBM, SAS, market analyst IDC, and other IT Portuguese multinational players. She has also worked as appointed Portuguese Advisor to the World Bank Group, the European Investment Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Cláudia Barroso holds a Master in Strategic Communication (Nova University of Lisbon), focused on digital government and the impact of the Internet and social media as communication tools to citizens.
