WHERE AND WHEN
The SEMIC 2023 conference will take place on 18 October at the Hotel Riu Plaza de España, located at C. Gran Vía, 84, 28013 Madrid, Spain.
The pre-conference workshops will take place on 17 October at the Instituto Nacional de la Administración Pública, located at C. de Atocha, 106, 28012 Madrid, Spain.

HOW TO REACH THE SEMIC 2023 VENUE FROM THE AIRPORT:
Public transportation:
- You can reach the Hotel Riu Plaza de España from one of the following stops at the Madrid airport: Airport T1, Airport T2, Airport T3 or Airport T4.
- From there, take metro line 8 and disembark at Nuevos Ministros (7 stops in total).
- From Nuevos Ministros stop, take metro line 10 and disembark at Plaza de España (6 stops in total).
- From there, it is a 2-minute walk to the Hotel Riu Plaza de España.
The whole itinerary takes approximately 35-45 minutes. Total cost: approximately 5€. Please note that the mentioned price has been estimated in August 2023.
Taxi: A taxi ride from the Madrid Barajas airport to the Instituto Nacional de la Administración Pública will take approximately 30 minutes (in normal traffic conditions) and cost approximately 30-40€. Please note that the mentioned price has been estimated in August 2023.
HOW TO REACH THE PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS’ VENUE FROM THE AIRPORT:

- From the airport, the best way to reach the Instituto Nacional de la Administración Pública is by taking the Airport Express 203 (bus).
- The bus leaves from either Airport T1 Departures, Airport T2 Departures or Airport T4 Arrivals.
- 203 Airport Express bus will take you directly to Atocha railway station.
- From there, it is a 15 minute walk towards the Instituto Nacional de la Administración Pública.

There are several options to get to the Instituto Nacional de la Administración Pública from the Hotel Riu Plaza de España.
- By foot, it is a 30 minute walk through the city centre.
- By metro, take line 3 at Plaza de España metro stop. Disembark at Lavapiés metro station. From Lavapiés, it is a 10-minute walk to the Instituto Nacional de la Administración Pública.
- By taxi, it is a 10-minute ride and will cost approximately 9€.
