Jack Hamande acquired sound experience in public and private international business management. His managerial responsibilities have grown and increased over the years, especially as regards international strategy, regulation, innovation and business development. He worked for companies like Walt Disney, Verizon and Cisco focusing on the new technologies applied to all sectors.
In 2009, Jack Hamande joined the Belgian public sector as Director General for personnel and organization development for the Federal Government. There, he initiated several programs applying to the whole Belgian federal public service in areas such as governance, ethics, diversity, efficiency, customer orientation, leadership development, performance management and culture change. In September 2013 he joined the ranks of the Belgian Regulator i.e. the Institute for Postal services & Telecommunications where he was Chairman of the Council.
Jack held several international board positions at Body of European Regulators (BEREC), Universal Postal Union (UPU) and European regulators for postal services (ERGP). He also act as head of delegation towards the ITU and UPU.
In the summer of 2021 Jack Hamande joined the Belgian Federal Public Service BOSA as Director-General of the Simplification and Digital Transformation Division for the federal Belgian state providing digital services to millions of citizens everyday.
